Ink & Watercolour Workshop – Create Your Own Building Portrait

Take a little time out to be creative and enjoy a relaxed, hands-on workshop with local artist Robyn Caley at The Arc, Bedford.

In this friendly and supportive session, you'll learn how to turn a favourite building into a detailed ink and watercolour portrait. with step-by-step guidance throughout, no previous experience is needed. You'll leave with a finished A5 artwork and new skills you can continue using at home.

The workshops is split into 2 complementary sessions. You're welcome to book one, or enjoy the full experience by joining both - with 10% off when booked together.

Morning Session - Drawing (Pencil & Ink Pen)

Learn how to translate a photograph onto paper to create a realistic drawing of the front elevation of a building you love, in pencil and ink pen.
Send Robyn a photo of your chosen building and she will prepare it and print it our for you - or choose from a selection of images provided on the day.  This session focuses on structure, proportion and confidence in drawing.

Afternoon Session - Watercolour Painting

Paint a prepared drawing using watercolours, learning colour mixing and simple techniques to bring your building portrait to life. You'll go home with a completed painting.

Join Both Sessions - The Full Experience

Create your own A5 ink and watercolour portrait of a favourite building from start to finish - enjoying a calm, creative day at The Arc.
