Stewartby Brickworks | A3 painting

A detailed A3 watercolour and ink pen painting of Stewartby Brickworks. Featured in the 2026 Made by Humans exhibition from the Circus of Illustration, alongside Sagrada Família and Lurke Street Car Park illustrations. 

Established in 1926 by the London Brick Company, Stewartby Brickworks was once the world’s largest brickworks, producing 500 million bricks a year and employing 2000 people. It ceased operation in 2008 and despite being an iconic local landmark, has since been demolished.
