Welcome to the first Bedford Christmas Art Fair!

The Bedford Christmas Art Fair is a brand-new opportunity for artists, both local and from further afield, to showcase and sell their work in the heart of Bedford during the festive season. We are inviting
painters, printmakers, illustrators, photographers, ceramic artists, sculptors and other visual artists, from Bedford and beyond, to take part. Our aim is to create a high-quality event celebrating original contemporary art.

Organised by local artists Robyn Caley and Sarah Payling alongside Bedford Markets, the fair forms part of a wider programme of Christmas events taking place in Harpur Square, as well as the much-loved Christmas Tree Festival at St Paul's Church.

Our vision is to establish Bedford as a destination for art by creating an annual fair that brings together talented artists and an audience eager to discover and buy original work. With the town centre expected to be bustling throughout the festive period, exhibitors can look forward to excellent footfall, a lively Christmas atmosphere, and the opportunity to be part of the inaugural Bedford Christmas Art Fair.

Whether you're an emerging artist or an established professional, we'd love you to help us launch what we hope will become a landmark event in Bedford's cultural calendar.

Please note: Applications are open to visual artists exhibiting their own original work. We are not accepting commercially produced items, gifts, or general craft stalls.

• This is an outdoor fair under the fixed gazebos in St Paul's Square
• Timing: 10am-4pm
• Stall Price: £50, to be paid within 1 week of successful application
• Prints welcome, original art encouraged and bring all your usual Christmas stock
• Strictly no AI. Copyright licenses should be available to us upon request if applicable
• Full terms shared upon successful application
• All artists must have Public Liability Insurance (PLI) to £5m.

• Applications close at midnight on Friday 31st July
